Marcum LLP is seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join our growing and well-established national firm in our Saddle Brook, NJ office. This position requires a high-energy, experienced professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

3+ years tax experience in public accounting

Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Taxation

CPA certification or completion of the CPA exam within a year preferred

Knowledge of accounting principles and tax standards to effectively supervise staff and solve routine engagement problems

Strong communication, research, analytical and writing skills

Proven technical skills with Excel, Word and Outlook

Solid organization skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

Responsible for executing the tax engagement work under the account's Supervisor or Manager while overseeing staff accountants

Complete moderately complex projects accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently

Participate in staff training and tax department meetings

Provide assistance to peers and others when requested

Create positive impression with client by exhibiting professional competence and ability
