Job Description Job Description DEPARTMENT: Parks and Recreation TITLE: Summer Camp Participant Supervisor STATUS: Summer Camp runs; 8 weeks (June 15 - August 7) Indicate on application specific start /end dates . JOB DUTIES: The Participant Supervisor oversees and supports campers and Counselors in Training (CITs) during recreational activities and camp programming for students in grades 1-8 at local schools, parks, and on trips. This position works to ensure a safe, structured, and engaging environment. This role involves enforcing program rules and policies, assisting with activities, and promoting positive behavior. Responsibilities include communicating effectively with supervisors, parks and recreation personnel, and other staff members as needed, while contributing to smooth, organized, and successful program operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in planning/coordinating youth programs and in supervising children. Graduate or student from an accredited college with or working toward a degree in Education or Recreation Management preferred. Preference for applicants with certification by the PA Dept of Education.
