www.coreweave.com . What You'll Do: CoreWeave is hiring a
Commercial Lead, Energy Market Development to lead and scale our
relationships with electric utilities, grid operators, and related
stakeholders across the United States. This person will own
CoreWeave’s utility engagement strategy—from early market
engagement and power procurement through interconnection
execution—ensuring that power availability enables, rather than
limits, CoreWeave’s rapid AI infrastructure growth. The role will
serve as a senior, trusted interface with utilities, aligning
utility planning, infrastructure investment, and regulatory
processes with CoreWeave’s aggressive deployment timelines. Key
Responsibilities: Utility Engagement & Power Access Act as
CoreWeave’s primary executive point of contact for U.S. electric
utilities, cooperatives, municipal utilities, and grid operators.
Build deep, durable relationships with utility leadership,
planning, and large-load teams in priority markets. Lead
discussions around power availability, load growth planning, and
long-term infrastructure needs tied to AI data centers. Power
Procurement & Commercial Structures Partner with internal teams to
secure power supply through utility service, special contracts,
tariffs, and other commercial arrangements. Negotiate power
delivery frameworks that support large, fast-ramping AI loads,
including phased delivery and interim solutions where needed. Help
structure approaches to infrastructure cost allocation, upgrades,
and timelines. Interconnection & Execution Drive strategy and
execution for large-load interconnections, including transmission
and distribution studies, upgrades, and approvals. Identify and
proactively address bottlenecks in utility processes that could
delay CoreWeave deployments. Establish internal playbooks and
escalation paths for constrained or high-risk power markets. Market
Expansion & Site Strategy Partner with real estate, data center
development, and engineering teams to evaluate power feasibility
and risk for new sites. Help CoreWeave gain competitive advantage
by entering markets with strong utility alignment and execution
certainty. Regulatory & Stakeholder Coordination Work with legal
and public policy teams on utility regulatory matters impacting
large-load customers. Support engagement with regulators and
policymakers where utility frameworks affect CoreWeave’s ability to
access power. Monitor evolving utility and regulatory approaches to
hyperscale and AI-driven load growth. Who You Are: 15 years of
experience in electric utilities, energy infrastructure, grid
planning, or large-scale power procurement. Deep understanding of
utility operations, transmission and distribution systems, and
large-load interconnection processes. Proven experience building
and managing senior-level utility relationships. Strong commercial
instincts and experience negotiating complex, infrastructure-heavy
agreements. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving,
high-growth environment with real execution pressure. Preferred:
Experience supporting data centers, hyperscalers, or other
energy-intensive infrastructure. Familiarity with ISO/RTO markets
and utility regulatory structures in the U.S. Experience working
across multiple utility territories and market types (IOU, co-op,
muni). Comfort navigating ambiguity and creating structure where
none exists. What Success Looks Like at CoreWeave: CoreWeave has
clear, executable power paths for current and future U.S.
deployments. Utilities view CoreWeave as a credible, sophisticated,
long-term partner, not just a large load request. Interconnection
timelines are shortened, risks are surfaced early, and power
constraints are proactively managed. Power access becomes a
competitive advantage rather than a growth limiter. Why CoreWeave?
