Job Description Job Description CIVIL PROJECT ENGINEER: We are
currently looking for the right team member with 6 plus years of
experience in civil engineering for our Municipal Engineering
Department. This challenging position is structured to offer the
successful candidate ongoing learning and career advancement. Team

communities and provide a variety of municipal engineering and
planning services affecting local infrastructure and land use. We
work in urban, suburban and rural locations and collaborate with

SUMMARY: This individual will design and/or manage a variety of
infrastructure projects (owned by municipalities and local school
districts) and will report directly to the Sr. Associate /
Municipal Service Department Head. Such projects shall include
roads, underground utilities, public buildings, recreational
facilities, and land use applications submitted by private
developers. PRIMARY DUTIES: Responsible for acting as the project
manager to one or more municipalities or other public agencies. The
project manager will act as the single point of contact between the
firm and the project. They will supervise and coordinate all
projects performed in the firm on behalf of the client, to the
client’s satisfaction. Develop or implement engineering solutions
to assist clients with improving and maintaining their
infrastructure. Design transportation, utility, facility, or
hydraulic systems or structures (as appropriate) using computer
assisted design or drawing tools. Compute load and grade
requirements, water flow rates, or material stress factors to
determine design specifications. Estimate quantities and cost of
materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial
photography, or other topographical or geologic data. Conduct
studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify
engineering problems and assess potential project impact. Perform
all design activities ensuring compliance with environmental,
safety, or other governmental regulations. Identify environmental
risks and develop risk management strategies for projects. Attend
regularly scheduled public meetings (conducted by Municipal
clients) in the capacity of Municipal Engineer, or Land Use Board
Engineer. Prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid
proposals, project status reports and developmental review
projects. Provide technical advice to clients regarding design,
construction, or capital program modifications. Support of the
field activities of our construction inspection staff, including
providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client
coordination. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to draft
reports including illustrations, appendices, maps and other
attachments to summarize research results. Excellent verbal and
written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and
attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Stormwater Modeling Software, Microsoft Office
Suite or related software. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & LICENSES
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related
field from an accredited college or university. Professional
License (P.E.) required Valid Driver’s License and reliable
transportation to field visits and client meetings as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: While performing the
duties of this job, the employee must be physically able to conduct
field work and handle equipment; ability to traverse various
terrain when working in the field; Work requires frequent and
prolonged computer use; May require occasional lifting up to 15

the United States is $92,000 - $151,800 . This range represents a
good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role,
level, and geographic location. The range shown reflects the
minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all
U.S. locations. Within this range, individual compensation will be
determined based on job-related factors including skills,
experience, education, and training. In addition to base salary,
