PROGRAM DIRECTOR ENDOCRINOLOGY, DIABETES AND METABOLISM Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center Hackensack, NJ The Department of Internal Medicine and the Division of Endocrinology at Hackensack University Medical Center is seeking a Fellowship Program Director, Endocrinology. The successful candidate will be joining a academic division with a new endocrinology fellowship program This Program Director will be focused on leading an approved new fellowship program, along with opportunities for scholarly work and clinical service in the inpatient and ambulatory setting. We seek to recruit an endocrinologist who has experience in leadership, medical education and training, a strong work ethic, high level of professionalism and exemplifies compassion in the practice of medicine. Essential Function Highlights

• Provide general oversight for the newly developed fellowship training program in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism
• Develop, implement and update endocrine fellowship curriculum
• Oversee and precept fellows, residents and students during clinical rotations
  • Provide clinical consultative care in endocrinology and diabetes in the ambulatory and inpatient settings
  • Coordinate clinical case conferences and grand rounds Professional Qualifications
    • Medical degree from an approved medical school
    • Board Certification in internal medicine and endocrinology
    • Three or more years as an Attending Endocrinologist in an academic setting
    • Academic accomplishments meriting appointment at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
    • Excellent clinical and teaching skills
    • Prior experience as an assistant program director or program director preferred
    • Prior experience in clinical, translational or basic science research will be an asset
    • Prior experience in graduate medical education
