  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the activity programs of the facility.
  • Assist in developing, administering, and coordinating department policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement policies for identifying medically related activity needs of residents.
  • Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the needs of residents and families.
  • Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments.
  • Involve residents and families in planning activity programs.
  • Assist in arranging transportation to other facilities when necessary.
  • Refer residents and families to appropriate social service personnel when the facility does not provide the needed services.
