Job Description:
Position Overview:The School Licensed Nurse (LPN/LVN) is
responsible for providing direct school nursing services in an
effort to promote prevention, medical management and academics.Pay
and benefits:Starting at $30 an hourIn-house trainings provided by
Aveanna Clinicians: Trach/Vent, Adult to Peds, etc. Full-time,

availableEssential Job Functions: Maintain standards of nursing
while providing care under the supervision of a registered nurse
Perform treatments and/or procedures with skill and competence
Maintain and follow physician order for any invasive procedure
and/or skill. Administer medication as per MD order and/or parental
consent Attend Health Plan meetings and school conferences when
applicable; assisting with the plan of care under the direction of
a physician, registered nurse, school designee and/or parent Attend
appropriate continuing education programs as per licensure
requirements and participate in Aveanna in-servicing and training
as offered Exhibit behavior supporting and promoting student s
rights and overall wellbeing Follow Aveanna and school board
policies and procedures that affect the health, safety, and
wellbeing of students in the school health setting Report any
changes in the student s mental, physical, or environmental
condition (including any incidents) to the physician, nursing
supervisor, school designee and parent as applicable Recognize and
report signs of substance abuse, physical abuse or neglect Provide
a clean and safe environment within the school, including the safe
use of equipment. Maintain a neat and orderly workspace Identify
appropriate methods for storage of equipment, supplies, and
medications Provide individual teaching and training with student
and/or others in an effort to encourage and promote student
independence when applicable Collaborate, coordinate and supervise
services with others in order to promote academics and
individualized student needs Accurately document services provided
in accordance with agency policies and procedures on the day the
services are rendered Submit nursing documentation, logs, reports
and timesheets according to company guidelinesRequirements:
Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate
School of Nursing Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed
Nurse in the state of practice Current CPR certification Current
Basic Life Support certification Demonstrated proficiency in
clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing
care and policies and proceduresAdditional state specific
requirements: Continuing Education as required by stateOther
Skills/Abilities: Attention to detail Time Management Leadership
skills Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution Good
organization and communication skillsPhysical Requirements: Must be
able to speak, write, read and understand English Must be able to
travel Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must be able to sufficiently
reposition patients and move equipment without assistance Prolonged
walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting Must be
able to sit and climb stairs Must have visual and hearing acuity
Must have strong sense of smell and touch Must be able to
sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without
assistance Must be able to appropriately respond physically and
mentally to emergency situations in the home or during
transportEnvironment: Must be able to function in a wide variety of
environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other
various conditions Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and
