Job Description:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient s needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments. Initiates assessment based on the patient s problems or needs, the physician s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Schedule PM - 7:30 AM
3 x 12hr shifts
Every other weekend and holidays required
One Monday or one Friday per week

2 years of recent unit-based Tele experience required. ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
Will float to ED/ETC holding admit and may be required to float to other units as needed.
RN must be willing and able to treat and manage patients on unit with a variety of conditions (including but not limited to flu, covid, heart issues, lung issues, etc.).

*FLOAT POOL*
Must be Tele certified or must submit a Tele Competency exam with submission.

Skills: Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a MS/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting required. Must have a strong MS/Tele background.
