patient related and non-patient related tasks as directedby
professional staff. Follows the policies and procedures of the
department and hospitalRequirements:Education: High school diploma
or equivalentSkills: Ability to apply appropriate body mechanics
and use of assistive equipment in all patient transfersExperience:
On the job training experience in treatment set-ups, ordering
supplies and guardingtechniquesCertification: AHA CPR/AED
Certificate or BLS Certification are required within 90 days
ofstart date.Essential Functions of the Job:Maintains working areas
and equipment in clean and orderly conditionStores maintains and
changes linenPrepares and cleans hydrotherapy equipment in
accordance with departmental proceduresAssists with patient
transfers from all surfacesUses proper guarding techniques while
ambulating patientsAssist therapists with dressing changes for
patients requiring wound careFollows Infection Control
ProceduresMeasures, adjusts and instructs patients in basic crutch
walkingPrepares, patients for specific treatment, including
transporting to and within the departmentAssists in toileting of
patients as directed by professional staffReport safety hazards to
Administrative Director or SupervisorAssists in maintaining
inventory of supplies for the departmentIncorporates physiological
age of patients into overall plan for delivery of patient
careMaintains confidentialityComplies with Hospital dress code
policy and maintains professional appearanceProvides proper
notification for absence and tardinessPerforms other duties as
