Medical scribes generally use an electronic health record (EHR) system to record the patient information.----Location: (This position is--onsite.)-- Rutherford, NJ----Work Schedule:-- Monday-Friday, hours vary.-- Occasional Saturday shift (8:30-1pm)----Primary Responsibilities:

• Accurately scribe as the physician is examining patient
• Maintain adherence to transcription quality assurance standards--
• Demonstrate appropriate grammar, punctuation and style standards when transcribing/ editing provider dictations
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pharmacology
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology for appropriate medical specialties
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical / surgical procedures and equipment for appropriate medical specialties

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish (speak, read, write)Preferred Qualifications:
    • Work experience as a medical scribe in a fast-paced clinical environment
    • Experience with Epic EMR--
    • Solid understanding of medical terminology from education or previous on-the-job training
    • Ability to type 60+ words per minute--------New Jersey Residents Only:--The hourly range for New Jersey residents is $16.00 to $31.44.
