HMH seeks to hire a Full Time Physician Assistant to join the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Palisades Medical Center. Hackensack Meridian Health delivers award-winning maternity care. Were recognized among the best in the country by Newsweek and Healthgrades for delivering excellent outcomes for mothers and their babies Opportunity Information Join our care team of specially-trained experts including maternal fetal medicine specialists, neonatologists, obstetric nurses, obstetric anesthesiologists, midwives and pediatricians. Responsibilities Provide obstetrical services and education to prenatal patients throughout pregnancy,in addition to assessment of maternal and fetal well being. Orders lab work and tests in accordance with national standards Provides education and support to prenatal patients and families. Document assessment and plan for each patient in accordance to ACOG standards Position includes office hours as well as on call time at Hackensack UMC Assist in the operating room as needed, primarily for Obstetrics cases, but also in Gynecology cases Qualifications Master's degree with successful completion of an approved Physician's Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission for Physician Assistants Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant License in the State of New Jersey, Active CDS, DEA, ACLS, BLS Certification by the National Commission for Certified Physician 's Assistants (NCCPA) within one year of initial employment by the Medical Center Completion of Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) Exceptional interpersonal skills, ethics, professionalism, adaptability, and determination Hackensack Meridian Health is the leading not-for-profit health care network in New Jersey offering a complete range of medical services, innovative research, and life-enhancing care aiming to serve as a national model for changing and simplifying health care delivery through partnerships with innovative companies and focusing on quality and safety.
