Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift:
7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1-2
years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required. License: ASN
required, BSN preferred. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (all must
be AHA certified). Must-Have: Must be highly reliable and available
to work all days except those disclosed prior to the offer.
Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating
patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans,
implements, and documents nursing care based on patients' needs.
Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through
assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops,
implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for
assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
Initiates assessment based on patients' problems or needs, the
physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages the care of
patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice,
patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. Advocates for
evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of
evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides
patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing
practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. This
unit includes both Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Recovery, with a
patient ratio that varies daily based on the type of patients cared
for. Must not have alternative jobs that would interfere with this
schedule being a priority.
