– Emergency Department (ED) Position Overview The Emergency
Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) delivers high-quality,
patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role
requires the ability to rapidly assess, prioritize, and manage
patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of acute physical
and mental health conditions. ED RNs must demonstrate strong
clinical judgment, adaptability, and decisive action in high-acuity
and trauma situations. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive
emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan. Perform
rapid and accurate assessments to prioritize patient conditions and
interventions. Deliver care in trauma and high-acuity situations
requiring quick decision-making. Develop, implement, and evaluate
individualized nursing care plans. Collaborate effectively with
physicians, advanced practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families,
and healthcare staff. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in
accordance with standards of care. Float within the facility to
comparable units as needed. Schedule & Work Details Hours per Week:
36 Shift Length: 12-hour shifts Schedule: 3 shifts per week Shift
Time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:6 (busy
unit) Required Skills & Experience Minimum 18 months of Emergency
Department nursing experience . Recent ED experience within the
past 6 months required. Demonstrated clinical competence and
professional nursing practice. Strong clinical knowledge and
analytical skills to develop effective care plans. Ability to
perform a wide range of professional nursing services. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Certifications & Licensure
Required: Active State Registered Nurse license or multi-state
compact license Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support
(PALS) Telemetry competency NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Stroke CEU – 4
