Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity/n/n Position: Cath Lab Manager/n/n The Cath Lab Manager is a key leadership position responsible for the efficient operation of the catheterization lab, which includes Electrophysiology (EP), Neuro, Vascular, and Cardiac procedures. This role encompasses accountability for patient throughput, staff performance, and all aspects impacting cath lab flow and capacity. The Cath Lab Manager will oversee utilization, first case starts, room turnover, patient safety, policy and procedure adherence, quality improvement initiatives, and risk management. /n/nEssential Job Functions:/n /n - Develops staff schedules and assigns daily responsibilities. /n - Collaborates with the Cardiac Cath Supervisor and Lead Technician on daily operations. /n - Supervises patient flow from the CDAR, Cardiac Cath Lab recovery room, and procedural areas. /n - Identifies and addresses operational issues as they arise during shifts. /n - Implements and maintains processes to support Cath Lab utilization. /n - Aims to enhance the efficiency of procedural processes and patient flow. /n - Monitors compliance with Standards of Practice to meet internal and external regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, including: /n /n - Joint Commission /n - NJ State and Federal Codes (e.g., Department of Health, OSHA) /n - Other Regulatory Agencies /n /n - Ensures adherence to legal requirements related to: /n /n - Risk Management /n - Patient Bill of Rights /n - Other Regulatory Agencies /n /n - Creates and monitors unit-based indicators, integrating functions of standards development, continuing education, credentialing, performance appraisal, concurrent monitoring, utilization review, risk management, and proactive problem identification. /n - Oversees the execution of outcomes-based practice and guides staff in its application. /n /n/nSkills and Qualifications:/n /n - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory. /n - At least 10 years of experience in clinical cardiology. /n - Proficient computer skills. /n - Strong leadership capabilities. /n /n/nWorking Environment:/n Position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 5 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 10 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 4 hours daily. /n/nKnowledge Required:/n /n - Understanding of team management practices. /n - Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques. /n - Familiarity with supervisory practices and principles. /n - Knowledge of state and agency laws and regulations governing nursing practices. /n /n/nCommunication Skills:/n /n - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. /n - Ability to maintain effective working relationships. /n /n/nEducation and Certifications:/n /n - Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program (Master's preferred). /n - Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License. /n - AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification. /n - AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification. /n /n/nSchedule:/n Full-time position; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays. /n/nExperience Required:/n Critical care experience, clinical cardiology, interventional radiology, or a closely related field for at least 3 years is necessary.
