Medical Center is looking for a Nurse Manager. Job Duties Primary
Job Responsibilities Clinical Services and Patient Care Provides
direct patient care within the scope of practice as defined by
state law. This includes wound care, medication administration, and
treatment of minor illnesses. Conducts comprehensive patient
assessments, including health history, physical evaluation, and
vital signs. Collaborates with healthcare providers to develop and
implement comprehensive treatment plans. Performs essential
occupational health screenings, such as EKGs, audiometry, alcohol
testing, drug screening, and vision tests. Conducts laboratory
tests and ensures quality control procedures are followed.
Administers vaccinations and closely monitors patients for adverse
reactions. Promptly identifies and responds to emergency
situations. Provides immediate first aid and basic life support, as
needed. Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient
encounters, treatments, and medications in electronic health
records. Adheres to strict infection control protocols and safety
guidelines to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated
infections. Prioritize patient confidentiality and privacy by
safeguarding sensitive health information. Actively participates in
follow-up care, including scheduling appointments and conducting
phone consultations. Assists with various administrative duties as
needed, such as managing patient records and inventory. Strategic
Leadership: Collaborate with the Medical Director to develop,
implement, and manage the organization's Occupational Medicine
Program, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory
standards (OSHA, CDC). Oversee the program's strategic direction,
ensuring it supports the organization's overall goals and
objectives. Team Leadership and Development: Leads and mentors a
team of medical professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
and efficient case management. Provides guidance, coaching, and
performance evaluations to staff members. Fosters a positive and
collaborative work environment. Regulatory Compliance Ensures
compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including
OSHA, CDC, and other applicable standards. Oversee the development
and implementation of policies and procedures to maintain
compliance. Overseas medical surveillance programs (e.g.,
respiratory protection, TB surveillance, and chemical exposure
monitoring). Conducts regular audits to identify and address
compliance gaps. Implement quality improvement initiatives to
enhance program effectiveness. Employee Health and Wellness:
Develops and implements comprehensive health promotion programs,
such as wellness initiatives, ergonomic assessments, and nutrition
counseling. Provides education and training on health and safety
topics, including injury prevention, substance abuse, and mental
health. Conducts workplace assessments to identify and mitigate
health risks, such as noise exposure, hazardous chemicals, and
ergonomic hazards. Advocates for employee health and safety by
collaborating with management to implement preventive measures and
address concerns. Clinical Operations: Oversees the day-to-day
operations of the Occupational Medicine program, including patient
scheduling, triage, and treatment. Manages the functionality and
maintenance of essential medical equipment. Ensures accurate and
confidential employee health records. Data Analysis and Reporting
Analyzes data to identify trends in workplace injuries and
illnesses and develops data-driven strategies to improve program
effectiveness. Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure
the effectiveness of the program. Prepares and presents
comprehensive reports on program performance to the Medical
Director and other key stakeholders. Stakeholder Engagement: Serves
as the primary point of contact for workplace health and safety
audits. Collaborates with onsite employers to maintain accurate
OSHA logs and address health and safety concerns. Builds strong
relationships with key stakeholders, including employees,
management, and external partners. Quality Improvement Identifies
opportunities for process improvement and implements strategies to
enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Participate in quality
improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects.
Education Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's in
Nursing, Public Health, or related field preferred. Experience 3
years of leadership experience in occupational health, employee
health, or a related field. Other Requirements: Certification in
Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) preferred. Certification as an
MRO Assistant preferred. Performance Requirements Knowledge Strong
knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA, Workers’ Compensation, and
other relevant regulations Strong foundation in Electronic Medical
Records usage and Microsoft Office Suite Applications, as well as
statistical software. Skills Excellent communication,
organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Abilities: Ability
to communicate instructions clearly. Ability to receive instruction
and act on it timely and efficiently Ability to collaborate with
all levels of clinicians and staff to meet needs. Ability to
analyze data reports and make recommendations for improvement. JOB
SETTING/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Office setting. Business casual dress
code. Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment with emphasis
on telephone and computer hardware/software. Mainly sedentary with
some reaching, stooping, bending, stretching, crouching, kneeling.
Infrequent contact with patients. Salary commensurate with
experience within posted range. $120,000-$132,000/Year We provide a
