USA . Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
practical experience. 5 years of experience in program or project
management, or managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Experience in academic relations, external affairs, outreach
program management, or recruiting. Ability to travel 20% of the
time. Preferred qualifications: 5 years of experience in academic
relations, external affairs, outreach program management, or
recruiting with a focus on university ecosystems. Ability to engage
with university faculty and executive leadership. Ability to
articulate technical outlooks in a way that resonates with the
academic community. Ability to identify, collect, and analyze
relevant data to help drive informed decisions. Excellent
communication skills with executive audiences to convey information
clearly and succinctly through presentations, written

Talent Outreach and Programs team identifies, engages, and delivers

meaningful connections and experiences. As a PhD Outreach Program
Manager, you will be an architect of our partnerships with
universities, faculty, and critical PhD talent. You will be
responsible for building long-term, high-trust relationships with
PhD students and faculty with the goal of branding Google as the
employer of choice for PhD talent. The US base salary range for
this full-time position is $136,000-$197,000 bonus equity benefits.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and
additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and

Responsibilities Cultivate high-touch relationships with
influential faculty to identify mutually beneficial opportunities
(e.g., guest lecturing, industry-sponsored seminars, or technical
workshops) that align our goals with academic interests. Serve as
the primary bridge between internal PhD stakeholders and external
labs to foster shared technical communities. Design curated
engagement for PhD talent on-campus and at Google. Partner with
volunteers and internal teams (e.g., Research Outreach, intern
programs, etc.) to translate projects into compelling narratives
and streamlined recruitment strategies. Partner with the PhD
Research and Sourcing team to provide direct insights into lab
health, funding shifts, and emerging research clusters. Monitor
peer institutions and performer to ensure engagement strategies
remain differentiated and engaged.
