We are looking for a new and trusted key team member to continue our firm's leadership in integrating ADR into our growing family law practice. Our lead attorney has trained other attorneys, judges, and mediators for over 25 years. We are confident that even if you don't have mediation or collaborative training if you are the right fit for our firm, we will provide you with the highest level of training.

Responsibilities

• 
  - - - -Provide effective counsel to clients with an understanding of their needs, an analysis of their circumstances, and determining a strategy for a proper course of action.
  - - - -Develop collaborative strategies and advise clients regarding their best interests, serving in some cases as the principal contact between the Firm and the clients.
  
• Serve as a mediator for divorce, separation, prenuptial, and postnuptial matters.
  
• Conduct new client consultations with a passion for the non-adversarial legal services we provide.
  
• Demonstrate a high commitment to this work in assisting the Firm with marketing, including attending networking events and other functions, writing blogs or other articles.

  • You are comfortable negotiating in highly stressful and emotional situations without losing your cool.
    
  • You are well-organized and able to handle multiple projects at once.
    
  • You understand the importance of delivering a stellar client experience.
    
  • You have a true passion for helping couples resolve marital or other family disputes in the least. adversarial way possible.
    
  • You work well in a team environment while being self-directed and self-motivated.
    
  • You are optimistic, empathetic, collaborative, and operate witth the utmost integrity.
    
  • You excel at setting realistic expectations for our clients and managing those expectations as the case progresses.
    
  • You appreciate the value of streamlined policies and procedures to ensure that each client receives excellent representation. You are comfortable adapting your style to incorporate our high standards of care.
    
  • You are a member in good standing of the New York and New Jersey State Bar.
    
  • You have 3+ years of experience in Family Law.
    
  • You are willing to become a trained Collaborative Divorce attorney and mediator.
