Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste management in the Northeastern U.S., is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Side Load Truck Driver to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient waste collection services by operating side loader trucks to help maintain community cleanliness and environmental sustainability. The selected individual will operate within assigned routes, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations concerning safety and waste handling. Operate side load trucks to collect waste as per daily assigned routes. Inspect vehicle daily to ensure safe operation; report any maintenance issues. Follow route maps and adhere to scheduled collection times. Ensure compliance with safety standards and vehicular regulations. Interact professionally with customers and the public on routes. Complete logs and reports related to waste collection activities. Ability to operate side loader and other types of waste collection vehicles. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards. Effective communication and customer service skills. Basic mechanical skills to perform minor repairs and vehicle maintenance.
