Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONTitle: Resource NavigatorReports to: Vice President of Crisis Intervention FLSA: Exempt Position Summary: The Resource Navigator acts as the information center for the agency by answering and routing all incoming calls, providing customer assistance , and recording and relaying messages to the appropriate staff. The Navigator will assess the needs of the caller; facilitate information and referral to services and benefits agency wide and within the greater community; conduct follow-up on referrals. Job Responsibilities:

  • Knowledgeable of all agency programs and qualifications for services;
  • Become familiar with community resources and establish methods for inter-agency referral;
  • Disseminate information about the program to various community groups to ensure adequate client awareness of existing services;
  • Act as a liaison with other GBCA Divisions and programs to facilitate client access to the full range of GBCA services;
  • Maintain client records and program performance statistics and prepare compliance reports as required by funding agency ;
  • Follow up on referrals, keep case notes on each referral made;
    • Responsible of entering data in various GBCA databases;
    • Maintain and add to an active list of resources in the community;
    • Perform monthly or quarterly basis reporting
    • Respect client confidentiality. Qualifications:
      • Associates Degree with a preference for a Bachelors of Arts;
      • Familiarity with New Jersey institutions and social service systems;
      • Fluency in Spanish;
      • A demonstrated passion working with low-income communities and communities of color to advance equality;
      • Experience working with diverse communities;
      • Experience working in an interdisciplinary team strongly preferred;
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
      • Excellent organizational skills;
      • Valid NJ Driver's license.
