is looking to add a Head of Hollow Metal for its Northeast Region
which includes the Northeast Service Center in Easton, PA, Pioneer
Industries in Carlstadt, NJ, and a future site in
Hackensack/Paramus, NJ.Reporting into the President of the Door
Group, this position will be driving the strategic direction and
operational performance of the Door Group business in the
region.You'll invest the largest portion of your time in two
areas:
- Working with the leadership of the Door Group companies located
in your region and the leadership of our national brand factories
to drive the operational performance required to meet the needs of
our customers, improve customer satisfaction and drive growth in
the region.
- Playing a leading role in business development in the region,
which will involve working with the Door Group leadership and Door
Security Solutions (DSS) Regional leadership to define the strategy
for the region and create polices, programs and initiatives that
will drive the sales of doors and frames. You will also maintain
high touch points with customers to improve their experience. ROLE
AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and drive the strategy in the region to achieve operational
success, growth and strong customer relationships
- Drive accountability for both operational targets and business
results at the Door Group companies located in your region and the
regional overall by working with the local Door Group
leadership
- Partner with management in Door Group national manufacturing
group to ensure best in class service for our customers and the
development of our national brands
- Work with the Door Security Solutions leadership in your region
to develop and support sales strategies to meet growth
objectives
- Maintain direct interactions with key partners in the
region
- Work with DSS, regional specialists and pricing teams to ensure
that the Door Group is offering the best solution for projects in
the region
- Work with our branding and pricing teams to best utilize our
portfolio and ensure the correct positioning and competitiveness in
the region
- Identify strategic investment opportunities and product
development opportunities presenting a business case for moving
forward
- Make recommendations for strengthening the regional focus of
our support selling teams
- Maintain an approach with a lean and operational excellence
focus
- Coach/mentor stakeholders at all levels to support them through
the adoption of lean principles and practices
- Play a key role in ensuring that our site leaders and their
teams are identifying and implementing programs and actions that
support a healthy and safe working environment
- Lead, motivate and develop the team on an ongoing basis and
provide feedback, counsel and coaching to drive practices and
processes and overall company performance. Support the development
of our regional teams QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in the door and hardware business or
related industry with at least 5 years' experience in an operations
or manufacturing role
- 7+ years' experience in a managerial role with responsibility
for directing a staff
- Previous acquisition experience a plus
- Proven record in business planning and analysis, business
development and continuous improvement
- Ability to travel throughout the region and the US up to
50%
- Location of position: Any Door Group facility in the Northeast
Region: Hackensack/Paramus, NJ; Carlstadt, NJ; Easton, PA. Let's
