in the Bronx community. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide supervision to
program staff and oversight in the coordination of social services
to formerly homeless families. Ensure social service delivery to
all residents of developments, working in developers and landlord
to ensure the permanency, and for statistical reporting both
internally and to funding sources. Act as the liaison between
developers and landlords. Conduct home visits to families and
provide light touch case management. Develop and plan activities
with Program staff for residents of development. Oversee all
program components, including staff orientation, training and
development; client assessment, service plan development and
progress; relationships with other community-based organizations;
and components specific to the program. Supervise three or more
employees in the programs. Recruit, train and supervise direct
service staff and volunteers. Administer personnel policies and
procedures. Ensure all programs meet contractual goals and
reporting requirements. Monitor program progress and submit all
required reports to AVP and VP. Plan and develop budgets, and work
with fiscal staff to ensure that collection of payment from funding
source(s) is current. Monitor fiscal expenses and analyze fiscal
reports monthly. Hold monthly individual supervision meetings with
staff and group meetings as necessary. Act as link between the
administrative office, fiscal department and program staff. Monitor
staff performance, including performing case reviews and structured
observations. Participate in, and encourage staff to become
involved in, agency events. PROGRAM SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct outreach as needed throughout development. Stay up to date
on government benefits and entitlements. Review and Submit
applications for rental arrears and other government benefits.
Monitor and Input all program data in sales force. Coordinate
monthly activities and events for residents. Assist with pantry
events. Meet minimum goals set forth by the contract.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ Social Services
experience, or a master’s degree in social work or related field.
One-year supervisory experience preferred. Experience working with
formerly homeless families. Experience working with governmental
agencies and benefits. Extensive experience working with
multi-problem families. Superb crisis management skills. Strong
oral and written communication, time management and organizational
skills are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and
other standard business technology is required. PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability
to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time. Ability to climb
five flights of stairs, if required to conduct home visits and/or
fieldwork. Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent
counties via public transportation. Ability to travel for a minimum
of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of
weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home
