  Responsibilities:
  
  • 
    
  • Oversee daily operations across multiple departments, including transportation, logistics, dispatch, and general operations.
    
  • Plan, forecast, and schedule transportation activities.
    
  • Coordinate dispatching to ensure on-time deliveries and support flight schedules.
    
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to meet delivery and service standards.
    
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, traffic laws, weight limits, and hours-of-service rules.
    
  • Supervise, train, and mentor drivers and helpers.
    
  • Develop and implement training programs for vehicle operation and ramp safety.
    
  • Monitor driver schedules, minimize overtime, and conduct field coaching.
    
  • Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, fueled, and compliant with DOT, OSHA, and internal standards.
    
  • Address vehicle issues promptly and coordinate maintenance.
    
  • Reinforce safety SOPs and promote a safety culture.
    
  • Maintain records of transportation activities.
    
  • Serve as an escalation point for operational challenges.
    
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
    
    Qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • Minimum 3 years of transportation leadership experience, preferably in food manufacturing or airport logistics.
      
    • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
      
    • Ability to obtain and maintain an airport ID badge.
      
    • Experience with transportation & ramp safety operations and DOT compliance.
      
    • Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.
      
    • Knowledge of transportation safety protocols in high-security environments (preferred).
      
    • Hands-on leadership style; willing to be present in the field.
      
    • Ability to coach and motivate diverse teams professionally.
      
    • Excellent communication skills.
      
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; dispatching or fleet software experience is a plus.
      
    • Flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
